A game show of the future. Convicted felons fight for their life and the reward of freedom against a slue of gladiators each specializing in different a expertise from blades, electricity, and fire. An eighties action flick that has stood the test of time.
Since then, there have been movies that have tried to use the same formula, convicted felons, fighting for there life and freedom, against impossible odds. The problem is they cannot get that formula right.
Arnold is where he is comfortable at, one liners and a beat em up action flick. The action is pretty consistent throughout with a little gore. A fun movie......very reminiscent of the arcade game "Smash TV".
A good supporting cast, and getting a real game show host, Richard Dawson, to host a game show in the movie....who would have thought.
