Disappointing, erratically scripted and badly acted biopic about the popular all-female 70s rock band. Lots of screen time is spent with images of rock and roll excess, and not nearly enough with character development or story conflict.
Dakota Fanning is passable and occasionally engaging as Charie Currie, but as Joan Jett, Kristen Stewart is the picture of interminable blandness. The cool rocker deserves better.
