Music is secondary to this and the 'drama' of the formation and run of the Runaways is what's paramount. Not really though since we only focus on Cherie Currie with a much supporting role of Joan Jett and the other girls.
It gets pretty dull at points and what drama there is supposed to be is mostly lacking. Bland is really the word I would choose to describe it, which is a shame considering the subject matter.
