Review of The Runaways (2010) by Micah F — 06 Apr 2013
Both actresses (Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart) are attractive and talented - things the actual women being portrayed in this film, in my opinion, were not. But the lack of real musical ability was part of the appeal (it was all about attitude in this wing of the music industry), and the fact that the band was comprised exclusively of female members was sexy enough for record sales.
The movie about The Runaways might be more entertaining and interesting than any actual Runaways song ever was, but that isn't saying much. Worth a rental, but nothing extraordinary.
