Review of The Rules of Attraction (2002) by Paul Y — 23 Sep 2008
A great novel that is very difficult to adapt it to the screen, but still, someone tried. At first view, it was hard to watch. It has been called "unwatchable" by many critics, but now that I've sat through it a couple more times, I can say that the movie does what it can to capture the idea and genius of Ellis' novel.
Overall, I would recommend it...and if you make it through the first time, give it another try. And for those who hated the ending and complained about not understanding the point...well, in Ellis' words, "Get over it.
