I really enjoy Breat Easton Ellis corrupt mind ("American Psycho", "Glamourama"), that's why the cliche cinematographic techinques (backward effects, backward music style, is forgiven). The decadence, the borness, the loneliness are protrayed in a group of college students. There are disturbing scenes: a rape, a suicide, homosexuality and philandering.
Ellis mixes absurd comedy with a bleak and violent vision. "The Rules of Attraction" is a hilarious take on the death of romance. Good soundtrack.
