One of Wes Anderson's classics, The Royal Tenenbaums is more than just your average comedy. This film is filled with some of the most interesting characters you will ever meet. Gene Hackman is terrific as Royal Tenenbaum.
I think he was the perfect choice for this role. He delivered his lines perfectly, while as adding the right amount of comedy into the mix. The story is simple, and that is why this movie works so well.
Anderson was able to expand on the story in so many ways than you could possibly imagine. The Tenenbaums are like any other family. They have their ups and downs, but in the end everyone is still family and thats all that counts.
Definitely a film to watch for fans of Wes Anderson.
