Review of The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) by Duncan K — 13 Jul 2013
This is not Anderson's masterpiece, but definitely among his best, and most complete. I would go so far as to say it is THE quintessential Anderson flick. It really does a great job of adding a sense of poignancy amongst all the quirks and comedic situations.
Gene Hackman is the standout in this one, but the whole cast does well with the unusual characters. A movie that will be cherished in my collection forever.
