Review of The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) by Bradley W — 16 May 2014

The Royal Tenenbaums is a work of Wes Anderson magic, a complete mix of brilliant heartfelt writing & phenomenal acting. Gene Hackman leads an all-star cast whom each get their moments to shine and show off their talent, but its still Hackman that owns the film.

Anderson always has a knack for creating with zainy and weird characters that we quickly love. This tale of a man trying to reconnect with his family becomes a hilarious tale that fully invested me. Wes Anderson is clearly one of the most original and finest directors working today, and this is one of the films that started his brilliant career.
