The Royal Tenenbaums follows a royal family once known for their superior talents and wealth. Under a variety of cicrumstances, they all find themselves under the same roof for the first time in years.
The whole film really is simple, following the lives and conflicts between a dysfunctional family. It's got the Anderson touch again where it's somewhat dull and often depressing, but manages to have this light layer humour over it.
Nothing really big happens, the film is really just following the relationships... interesting ones. Great cast, good movie.
