Review of The Rose (1979) by Jenny D — 15 Mar 2009
At first I wasn't too into the movie, but once I started to understand where it was going, I got into it very quickly and loved it till the end. It's one of those great stories of a rock n roll star who's on their way to either glory or doom and you can't wait to see if they make it or not.
Bette Midler plays "The Rose" phenomenally, and definitely portrays that sense of craziness that we all wish we could have now and then but do not dare to try.
