Review of The Rookie (1990) by Ruhan R — 27 May 2011
Clint Eastwood has alotta big-screen experience behind his belt but a crappy movie's stink will overcome any amount of starpower. Charlie Sheen and Eastwood made a decent team the chemistry was certainly there (whatever it was).
The movie had that 80's cop movie feeling to it which is understandable since it was 1990, but more could have been done to eliminate the cheese factor. The plot was a little bland to be honest, the twists and turns were not thrilling or all that surprising.
It felt pretty run-off-the-mill, definitely will keep you comfortable away from the edge of your seat. Overall it was still entertaining to some degree, but nothing close to impressive.
