Review of The Ron Clark Story (2006) by Emma G — 10 Aug 2008
It's a "Stand and Deliver" like story for today's middle school generation. His methods are more humanistic and he's a little nicer than Escalante is/was, yet his uber-nice guy personality actually works.
It's another one in the long line of one man improving lives of urban youth (a la Stand and Deliver, Freedom Writers, Great Debaters, etc etc) but its definitely worth watching, even if just to see Matthew Perry's great performance.
Teachers should maybe start to use this more than Stand and Deliver.
