Review of The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) by Frank L — 27 Sep 2011
After all these years, it is what it is. A rite of passage, a rollicking tribute to b-movies and rock 'n roll, or an excuse to stretch out those fishnets balled up in the corner of your closet. Rocky Horror maintains a dreary and apprehensive atmosphere, getting you nice and pent up before bending you over the barrell with a smorgasbord of song and frivolous [unprotected] fun.
Nothing beats a midnight showing, except for maybe a well-executed staging of the musical.
