Great action and entertaining movie. Seen this so many times. Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer rules. This movie is dedicated in memory to Don. Ed Harris is a BG of Marine Corp, leads a group of his soldiers to take 81 hostages visiting Alcatraz aka The Rock.

He is angry that many marines carry out illegal mission and when they die, their family is not compensate and the dead soldiers didn't get any awards. Holding the hostages for ransom. David Morse is his right hand man.

2 new captains join the team. Nicolas Cage is FBI agent but specialise in chemical. His girlfriend just told him she's pregnant. William Forsythe leads the mission. The only way to solve the crisis is to send a team of Navy SEALS into the island.

FBI director John Spencer has no choice but to get help from Sean Connery. He is agent of MI6 and held without trial for 30 years when he stole a secret file. He has no records and is non-exist. And he is the only one ever to escape from Alcatraz.

Sean saw a chance to escape while having his haircut. Make a mess down San Francisco. Nicolas ask a friend to check his data and happen that Sean is going to meet his daughter. He was caught again. They will go in led by Michael Biehn.

Sean led them in well. The SEALS are ambushed. Ed wants them to stand down but Michael refuse. A drop of a brick led them the open fire. All of them are dead. Ed didn't want this to happen. Sean and Nicolas tries to get the mission done.

Along the way encountering attacks. The duo manage the way to the rockets and difuse them. Ed threaten to kill a hostage. Sean ask Nicolas to go find the 3 rockets and he surrender to Ed. Nicolas difuse 1 and is caught.

Held in the cell, Sean breaks free. Ed launch 1 missile when time is up and change the coordinates last minute. The 2 captains isn't happy and want Ed relieve duty. David is with them but stand by his general.

Both are kill. Nicolas go to rooftop to get the last rocket. A ball of VX drop out. A guy stand in his way, Nicolas punch it into his mouth. At this time the president has approve the air strike. Nicolas quickly inject the serum into his heart and then fire the flare.

The missile is launch but hit the island's back. Nicolas told them Sean is dead. He in turn told him where he hide the secret.
