A pretty original storyline to this movie I thought, maybe the plot has been done else where with some guy and a gun terrorising a family but seeking a free passage down a river with rapids galore is an interesting twist.
So this movie features a family with nothing to lose and finding the strength to work together and outwit and manoeuvre the thugs. What I've always praised this movie for having is fabulous location shots and scenery, nothing looks CGI and all real, and only recently did I see this in HD too.
Very nice. Another pointer is the brilliant camera work, angles and placement to capture the action. They've made the movie as close and as real as you could experience it in real life. It's a movie, adventure thriller basically around a river for the majority of the movie but a good watch.
