Review of The Ritual (2017) by Kirk D — 18 Sep 2017
Saw this as part of Odeon's Scream Unseen - sadly very similar to other 'lost in the woods films' - and due to some story telling choices a lot of tension is released - and will mean the film will disappoint many I think.
Don't want to spoil the film so will not say more - but on a number of occasions the actors especially Rafe Spall failed to convince they were facing real horror. The trailer suggests a really intense film - this isn't.
