Review of The Rite (1969) by Calvin C — 24 Oct 2011
As far as exorcism movies go, it's pretty decent. Anthony Hopkins does what he does best. Very interesting subject matter about fate and the Devil. Though it is interesting, it isn't all that exciting. The climax gets into CGI territory which really takes away from the creepiness of the rest of the film. Theology majors and those curious about religion will like this one, but the majority might be bored as "hell" with it.
