I guess this movie got mixed reviews from critics because it's a remake. I saw the American version before the Japanese one, like most Americans. I saw The Ring in theaters when I was 14, and it terrified me to to no end.
I lost sleep. I watched it again and it still terrified me. This is the scariest movie I have ever seen. Movies are scarier the younger you are, and they're also scarier in theaters than at home.
