Review of The Right Stuff (1983) by Craig E — 29 May 2007
Phillip Kaufmann's brilliant take on the birth of the space program is a tour de force combining an amazing script, an incredible ensemble cast, intense special effects, beautiful cinematography and a rivetting score.
Quite simply the best movie about space exploration (yes, better than Apollo 13) and an all around amazing drama. Keep your eye out for the real Chuck Yeager playing an elder bartender at the bar that all the test pilots frequent.
