Review of The Right Stuff (1983) by Dimitri L — 26 Aug 2007
Philip Kaufman's a master of films that capture place and time, and this monumental film plays to all his strengths. As concerned with the psychology of the wives as their cowboy test-pilot husbands, this is a film that's as comfortable with intimate conversations as epic space journeys.
The result is the most emotionally honest portrayal of the space program yet.
