Review of The Right Stuff (1983) by Bester L — 14 Nov 2007
I had the impression this movie was going to be like Top Gun for grownups. Watching it, I realized two things: One, I hate Top Gun. (Matter of fact if ther'es anything good to be said for that movie, it's the moronic juvenility of it.) Two, Dennis Quaid had kind of a weird face when he was young.
I dunno. The movie's quite pleased with itself, but it kind of clunks along in parts, and the invented bits of the storyline are just unimaginative and dull.
