Review of The Right Stuff (1983) by Dan L — 06 Dec 2011
I remember my mother bringing my brother and I to "The Right Stuff" in a quonset hut theater in Door County Wisconsin. The theater was over air conditioned and sticky but I still couldn't take my 10-year-old eyes off the screen.
I still find it an engaging and inspiring story about the Mercury astronauts and one of my personal heroes - Chuck Yeager. While not as historically truthful as a researched book on the subject, as a stand-alone film to entertain and maybe even inspire you to want to learn more about these people and the actual space program it succeeds beautifully.
