Review of The Rezort (2015) by Kathryn G — 24 Jan 2017
The movie starts slow and I'm thinking it's ok because crazy zombie action will come at some point. I wouldn't know because I couldn't finish the movie. I got pretty far, but I just could not go on.
A bunch of dumb, obnoxious and for the most part, highly unlikeable British people and one American (played by Dougray Scott who I only know Bc I watched Hemlock Grove. Why does he always play Americans if he's Scottish?).
These people take a boat to an island call the "rezort" where zombies have been rounded up after the living won in a war against the dead in a zombie apocalypse. The island is an expensive vacation for people to go and blow off steam and kill a bunch of zombies.
So all is good until of course there is a security breach and the zombies get loose. The tourists, as the call the people that go, are camping somewhere on the island while this happens and they have a guide that tells them that they have 4 hours to get to the dock to catch a boat out before the whole place blew up due to some security protocol plan to contain the zombie virus.
There are two girls in the group. Both are complete sticks in the mud- during the zombie hunt prior to the breach, neither could shoot a zombie due to moral qualms. Boring, weak, etc. etc. one isn't even carrying a gun - everyone else had one, why doesn't she.
