Review of The Revenge of Frankenstein (1958) by Stuart Y — 23 Mar 2009
This was a great sequel, which carries straight on from the original Curse of Frankenstein.
The special effects look a bit dodgy, but considering the film was made in '58, they are a lot better than the crappy CGI effects you get in horrors today.
With a strong plot, and strong acting, this is a very good horror film, with a surprising creature, who you would expect to be scary looking, but it actually good looking, and can talk.
The makers really go to town to making the sequel as good as the original, and making the sequel original, and avoiding all the Frankenstein clichés of old.
Highly recommended.
