Review of The Revenant (2015) by Shane B — 24 May 2016

I was on the god damn edge of my seat the entire film. DiCaprio and Iñárritu was a no brainer for best actor and director, Tom Hardy as the villain Fitzgerald got robbed of the best supporting actor. How it didn't get best picture was beyond me also.

The ever famous bear rape scene. My jaw was on the floor. It was so realistic I re-watched it four or five times trying to figure out how they filmed it. That scene was hands down the scariest and most bone chilling of the entire film.

All in all it was a masterpiece on all levels, cinematography off the charts and the best film I've seen in a long while.
