Leo finally gets the Oscar he deserves with The Revenant. Di Caprio gives the performance his heart and soul and you can see it plain as day on the screen his commitment to the role. Top class production qualities, cinematography, costume, lighting, editing etc.
The bear scene is a stand out and will be what is remembered about this movie, that and the opening long shot. The weakness is that the story is a bit grueling and long drawn out to watch. Tom Hardy is nearly impossible to understand which was frustrating.
.Still a very good movie if not a great one..
