Review of The Revenant (2015) by Sorriso — 06 Feb 2016

This movie has beautiful landscapes and effects. It is clear that a lot of effort was put in it. Also, I have no problems with DiCaprio's acting, but the movie's writing and execution was everything that can be wrong. Suspension of disbelief is challenged as the protagonist survives what should be impossible. Ridiculous scenes that will make you laugh are all over the place, just as purposeless violence. This movie has zero creativity put on it. Again, DiCaprio wasn't the problem here, but he was a victim of a poorly written movie. No matter how good the actors were, the story was so bad and cliche I simply couldn't stop thinking how I don't care what happens to these people.

Overall, I wish I could get the time I spent watching this movie back.
