Review of The Revenant (2015) by Darrell T — 12 Jun 2016
A modern-day masterpiece, in my opinion.
A harsh and uncompromising western, with truly breathtaking cinematography, this film was more artistic and beautiful than I thought it was going to be.
DiCaprio and Hardy both give truly amazing performances, and yes, Leo did deserve an Oscar for this! Amazing, a must-see, but it does have a long run-time and the pace is slow, so the time doesn't fly by.
