Review of The Resident (2011) by Adam M — 28 Mar 2011
Ok, if predictable, horror/thriller from Hammer. When you see the Hammer logo appear on screen it is quite exciting but when you settle into this film you quickly realise that its nothing you aint seen before.
A woman who's just split up with her boyfriend is looking for a new place to live, comes across this nice flat where the landlord seems all nice and charming but then turns out to be mental(don't worry, its not exactly a spoiler as thats soooo obvious).
Still, it racks up the tension quite well occassionly, the performances are decent enough and theres an appearance from Christopher Lee so its not all bad. If you liked Sliver n stuff like that. Maybe When a stranger Calls, this could be worth a look.
