Review of The Rescuers Down Under (1990) by Ryan P — 09 Feb 2009
"Home, home on the range/Where the critters are tied up in chains/I cut through their sides/and I rip off their hides/and the next day I do it again. Everybody!".
Any Disney animated movie that features a villian singing the above tune deserves 5 stars. McLeach is one of the best baddies, a legit psychopathic poacher who, in one insanely entertaining scene, starts babbling for 5 minutes, including a passage about sticking a 7-year old kid in a giant anthill to "loosen his tongue." He throws knives at the child, kills endangered species for fun, and harasses his enormous pet lizard Joanna. Awesome movie.
