The ratings for this movie are way too low, and the rating for the original are way too high. This one is a lot more fun, a lot more visually appealing, much better animation, a lot more thrilling, features great voice acting, and overall a major improvement over the first.

The boy who got kidnapped is no one dimensional damsel in distress. I'm not saying the girl was in the first one. I'm putting that movie aside for now. The boy was kind of a rescuer in the beginning until he gets kidnapped by McLeach.

The Villain McLeach, is rather realistic. Maybe a little too realistic for a movie that features talking animals, but pretty badass, very well voice acted by Scott. The dynamic duo of Bernard and Bianca are back and better than ever in this as they finally develop more than just a partnership.

They are joined by a rather charming guy named Jake. Yes, he does flirt with Bianca, but in the end when Bernard finally proposes uninterrupted, Jake salutes him. However, the character who provides some of the best lines and some really funny scenes is Wilbur voice by the one and only John Candy.

His scenes still make me smile to this day. I think kids will love this movie. As for adults, I hear some people criticizing the story, but I've seen most adults find this to be rather cute and fun.

Overall though, this movie is one of the best overlooked disney films ever made in my opinion. If you have not seen it, I recommend it. I strongly recommend it for the kids too.
