Review of The Rescuers Down Under (1990) by Rod G — 18 Jan 2013
"The Rescuers Down Under" is underwritten and a little maudlin, but it is nevertheless a nice, enjoyable animated flick that's clever in certain places. There's also some great work from the voice cast, which features the likes of Bob Newhart, John Candy, Eva Gabor and George C.
Scott. The fact that the humans and animals interact with one another makes the whole thing feel kind of cheap and, at times, ridiculous, but seeing as it is a kid's film, you kind of have to judge it in that respect.
