There is nothing in this movie that you haven't seen in a sports movie (or any misfits-make-good story) a hundred thousand times before. You can predict every plot point 20 minutes before they happen.
But for some reason it's endlessly rewatchable - if it's on TV, I will watch it. I know I'm not alone in feeling this way. I've seen it dozens of times, but only once from beginning to end!
