Review of The Replacement Killers (1998) by Rokko J — 24 Nov 2008
One of the best serious action movies ever made.
It's not often everything comes together like this. The casting, acting, effects, directing, soundtrack, and post-production are all stellar. This is easily Chow Yun-Fat's best work and likely Mira Sorvino's as well. Everyone pulls off their characters with seaming ease, but what really sets this movie above the rest is the post-production. The realistic action, and slow-mo sequences are perfect. This is a movie I have zero complaints about. Essential to all action collections.
