This movie breaks my heart but I love it nonetheless. It's an excellent adaptation of what is a stunning book, and everything about it is just wonderful. My only complaint would be that Anthony Hopkins was perhaps a little old for the part, but the strength of his performance easily outweighs that concern.
And then, of course, there's Emma Thompson, who is just always ALWAYS great.
