Review of The Reluctant Fundamentalist (2013) by Raj A — 19 May 2013
Mira Nair's latest film about a Pakistani who, in the wake of 9/11, turns his back on a high-powered Wall St career is a bit of a disappointment. The story arc is a little too predictable and Nair seems to be pulling her punches so as not to offend Western audiences.
Still performances are (mostly) solid and the interesting material means it is worth a look.
