Review of The Red Violin (1998) by Liser — 12 May 2008
As a violinist myself. this movie seemed personal to me. The story follows the violin throughout time and depicts several moments in history while spanning the globe. What I really love was the story was told from the violin's perspective.
The cinematography, landscapes, costumes were beautiful while the dialog was believable keeping the native language for each country instead of having everyone in the film conveniently speaking English.
This movie is a masterpiece.
