Is it because a coproduction permits a variety of approaches to life and filming...is it because in Canada filmmakers can be intellectuals? Whatever the reasons, a fascinating film. My daughter got us to see it during Chrtstmas - a season when lets face it intellectual stimulation is not usually on the menu.
