Review of The Red Pill (2016) by Jay B — 30 Jul 2017
First off: Highly recommended. The difference between the critics reviews and audience is very telling. Feminism has completely swept up modern culture; from media, politics, Hollywood, and college campuses, all the way to the UN. Cassie Jaye did nothing more than ask questions and listen. What does she get in return? She gets chastised, slandered, bullied, and threatened by so-called proponents of equality. Her recent reception on Australian talk shows was downright sickening.
During the film, MRAs point out actual issues and the laws that specifically disadvantage men and boys. And what is the feminist's response? That it is the fault of "Patriarchy" inflicting it's will on men. MRAs bring up the lack of services and shelters for men. Feminist's response: men just want to take funding away from women.
This film is not about "fueling a social divide" or "exacerbat[ing] the divide" as some of the ignorant critics would like you to believe. It simply shines a light on real, observable issues, laws, and verifiable statistics that are affecting men and boys, and how 3rd wave feminism is trying to discredit the MRAs that merely try to bring attention to the issues.
The only complaint I have about this film is that it is not nearly long enough, but Cassie Jaye has said that she plans to release all of her, over-100-hours, of footage. I highly recommend everyone to watch this film, and actually do what Cassie did: Just listen.
