Review of The Recruit (2003) by Joe E — 29 Jul 2008
A pretty good litle spy film, with some twists, and a cautionary moral. Al Pacino gives one of his signature, scary performances. There is good chemistry between Farrell and Moynahan, although its pretty disturbing what lengths they go to in trying to do their job.
Is it right to employ whatever means necessary in support of our government? I don't believe so. The movie shows how the web of deception can become a breeding ground for corruption, and how you can lose sight of who you are and what is right in that environment.
