Review of The Reckless Moment (1949) by Paul D — 29 Nov 2007
Well shot and acted (save for Mason's poor accent), The Reckless Moment unfortunately suffers from a lack of strong, atmospheric and narrative direction from Ophüls. The film lacks a sense of extreme dread, and could benefit from being geared towards thriller or drama, unsuccessfully blending the two.
But at the very least, it's enjoyable to watch.
