Review of The Real Glory: Reconstructing 'The Big Red One' (2005) by Ben W — 23 Mar 2008
A solid WWII movie with some interesting and original scenes, including a child being born in a tank and also the G.I's digging themselves into the sand to evade oncoming German tanks. Some wonderful battle sequences hold the film together, but not as much as Lee Marvin does.
Marvin shines as The Sergeant with some of the funniest dialogue ever seen in a war film...a war film with it's tongue planted firmly in it's cheek throughout.
