Review of The Jungle Book (2016) by Ben W — 12 Jul 2016
The original Jungle Book was an animated Disney classic and when I heard they were remaking it I thought that it wasn't a good idea. However, when I saw the movie, I was impressed at how good it was.
Disney pulled together an all star cast with Bill Murray, Scarlet Johansen, Ben Kingsley, and Christopher Walken. Even Neel Sethi was decent as Mowgli. The effects in this movie were gorgeous and all fit the tone of each scene.
Each character in the film was strong and unique. The settings felt real and the music was great. One of my only complaints for this movie is that some scenes I really liked ended fast. Also Mowgli is kind of annoying sometimes.
Overall, The Jungle Book is a movie remake with personality and heart.
