Review of The Reader (2008) by Joao C — 24 Dec 2010
The film is long and drawn out but don't let that put you off. The performances are excellent especially from Kross who plays the young Michael Berg. Winslet is quite good also, though she never really gets enough screen time.
Fiennes as the older version shows class, but again, not enough time on screen to develop any further. Overall I quite enjoyed the film because of the interesting plot and storyline. There were some scenes which got a bit full on but other than that an enjoyable encounter.
