Review of The Reader (2008) by Andrew S — 04 Dec 2012
A decent and interesting reflection on holocaust guilt in later generations and the narrowness of the law. Winslet gives quite a performance which Fiennes once again reinvents his character for David Chrononberg's "spider" , but other than it being a very cerebral experience where the leading lady shines it does feel somewhat manipulative by the material choice.
