Review of The Raven (2012) by Rita N — 06 Oct 2012
A lavish, gripping, stylish and constantly gripping thriller. A haunting and grimm mystery that echoes of Sherlock Holmes and From Hell. A well-crafted and sharply shot piece thats both bold, bloody and brilliant.
A bone-chilling thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat with heart-pounding suspense from begining to end. An exciting period piece with great visuals and locattions and solid performances.
John Cusack is absolutely riveting as Poe, one of his finest performances in years. Luke Evans is excellent. It has a very simple formula that involes a great amount of class, thrills, chills and excitement.
