Review of The Raven (2012) by Courtney M — 10 Oct 2012
Was pretty interested to see a movie based off of Edgar Allen Poe and his murder mystery poems, thought that it was a pretty neat concept for a movie, and kind of original for once. However, I don't really care for John Cusack, and the fact that he isn't much of an actor when it comes to action, thrillers, and horror stories.
In that event, he did do a pretty good job of being Poe and pursuing the thriller retrospective of the film. That's not the reasons why this is only getting 3 out of 5 stars. The movie had so many holes, it wasn't scary, or thrilling by any means, and it was too long for being so boring.
It did have one or two good twists to it, but mostly pretty predictable and lame. I would say that this is worth a rent at its very best. 3/5 JD.
