Review of The Raven (2012) by Craig L — 10 Nov 2012
Very good premise which fell flat. John Cusack was very believable as Edgar Allan Poe and brought an edge to the character. Unfortunately, the premise & acting couldn't save the movie which never made me care who lived or died.
The potential to tell a murder/suspense story based on Poe's writings was there by in the director's hands, it circled endlessly like a raven looking for prey.
