Regardless of the bad reviews, this film was good!! John Cusack is Edgar Allan Poe. The police are baffled by a serial killer whose victims mirror those of Poe's stories. They ask for his help in tracking the killer down.
But the killer kidnaps Poe's girlfriend and forces him to serialize the deaths with the promise of returning her unharmed. But the killer is vicious and leaves a trail of bodies with clues to her whereabouts.
Dark and brutal but with fine performances all around!!
